Coming from a much colder climate, I was loving the fact that there were Christmas lights on palm trees. Not that it was a shock to me, it was just really neat to see.
We happened to be there for a Holiday parade with marching bands and Santa. Unfortunately the photos of Santa were too blurry to post here. He was riding in a fire truck.
Although I'm used to associating Christmas with pine trees and (usually) a lot of snow, a different kind of a Christmas setting was great to see. And since Hawaii was wonderful, maybe I'll get to see it again one day.
