Friday Inspiration - Tattoos
I'm sure I've mentioned before my love for tattoos. I have a couple myself and big plans for more. This Friday I wanted to share a few amazing ones I've seen recently.
This is one of my favorite topics and I could go on forever... I have so many plans... As you can see from the examples above, I love intricate details and play on light and shadows. I do love color as well. My first one is black and grey and the rest are in color. For some reason I expected to only get black and grey, but I think I'll stick with color.
Care to venture a guess as to why I am thinking of tattoos today?

Friday Inspiration - Eating well
As the weather gets warmer (eventually) I think most people start thinking about eating lighter. Now, for me, eating lighter started well before the weather warmed up, but I am continuously looking for new things to cook that are good for you too.
You might have noticed the new badge on the left sidebar tracking my weight loss to date, but more on that another time. Let's just concentrate on tastiness for now.
I've been slowly gathering some interesting looking recipes on my "Tastyness" Pinboard. I've tried a few and others I'm very excited to test out.
This looks absolutely incredible! I haven't tried it yet, but will for sure.
This one I did try already. I like it, but I also feel it needs a bit of tweaking. Once I get it just right, I'll share my version with you guys.
I haven't tried this exact one, but I pinned it for new ideas for my quinoa salad.
I'm continuously looking for some new breakfast recipes. I'm not one for toast or anything like that.

Friday Inspiration - windows
I have a weakness for architectural details, such as windows, doors and fire escapes. I also go weak in the knees for beautiful, simplistic graphic design. You can only imagine how my heart fluttered when I found Windows of New York.

Have I ever told you guys how much I love notebooks? I actually make them myself, but still keep acquiring more. I've recently been working on my notebook-building techniques and I can't wait to share the final results with you soon. In the meantime, let's drool over some awesome paper-goodness!

Friday Inspiration - a herb garden
As I write this, the temperature outside is +15 degrees Celsius. That's 59 degrees Fahrenheit. The high for today is supposedly 23 C/73 F. So, this means two things:
1) I am mentally starting my spring and summer preparations; and
2) I will go outside immediately after finishing this post and will not come back inside all day.
But, let's start with the first. I need to continue my spring cleaning. I should really pack away the last of my winter gear and bring out all the lighter shoes and clothes. However, that is incredibly boring and not really fun at all (especially if I'd write an entire post about it, the results make me happy, not so much the process).
However, there is something fun that I've been thinking about; a herb garden. No, wait! Hear me out! I've done this a few times and I only have fun herbs, things that I actually use. So far the most useful herbs have been basil; for cooking like pasta sauce and it's absolutely incredible when plucked from the plant and served on top of mozzarella and tomatoes; mint; for mojitos and it's amazing with fresh pineapple and finally, cilantro; for everything. I love cilantro. It's tough to grow at home, but it's so good with everything, also, makes incredible pesto.
I only have a small outdoor space that faces the sun, so I've been looking for inspiration for a compact herb garden.

Friday Inspiration - Pastel hair
I can't help it. I've been thinking about it for a while and even talked about it since last fall. I want to dye my hair some awesome color. Most likely pink.
If I end up trying this out, then I promise to share a photo or a few. I don't like getting my photos taken, but maybe I can suffer through for a good reason...

Friday Inspiration - Circus
Isn't it funny, how something can stay lodged in your brain for quite some time and then when the time is right, it just comes at you from all angles?
I've been fascinated about vintage circus posters and imagery for a long time, but it's only recently that I find myself bombarded with everything to do with the theme.
Besides the forever-long fascination with vintage posters and photos, I think it was when I started planning a circus tattoo that I really got swept up. I didn't end up getting the tattoo (yet!), but I'm fairly certain it'll come sooner or later. Until then I wanted to share some circus themed inspiration with you. I even created a circus pinboard, so follow me over at pinterest if you like the same things as I do!

Friday Inspiration - Easter Eggs
I always love it when I see a new twist on an old tradition. Easter is definitely a crafty time of the year, not to mention colorful, so it's great to see new ideas with old favorites.
Generally speaking I love a monochrome look and subtle mixing of patterns. There's something so classy about a black and white combo. It's unexpected for Easter, but looks great!
If you still want to go with more colorful eggs, there are new ways to do that. I love the graphic take on more traditional colors.

Friday Inspiration - Thoughtful
Most weeks I have a clear idea on what I want to share with you on the Friday Inspiration post. There's usually been one or a few specific things on my mind and those are the ideas I share with you. This week I have thought about a ton of different things, but nothing has quite solidified as a reoccurring theme...
